R.S PURA, Mar 7: Panchayat Gandli Sarpanch and State General Secretary All J&K Panchayat Conference, Gurdeep Singh Saini here today started construction work of community bathroom for women in Chak Nanka area.
Speaking on the occasion, Saini said that community bathroom was an old demand on which the work has been started today.
He assured people of the Panchayat that development works would be continued in days to come and they would be given all kind of facilities.
The Sarpanch raised serious concern over not releasing of payments of development works executed in Panchayat Gandali in the year 2019-20 under 14th Finance Commission and urged the Government to release the same and clear the pending payments of contractors without any delay.
He urged upon the Government that the development works up to Rs. 3 lakh at Panchayat level should be allotted on the recommendations of Panchayat representatives as many times people have to face problems due to damage of culvert in the Panchayat and it takes a lot of time to complete tendering process.
