Sainik Colony facing shortage of power, water

JAMMU, June 29: Welfare Association of Sainik Colony in a meeting held here has expressed grave concern over the frequent power cuts and water crisis in the Colony and urged the authorities to take immediate steps in restoring water and power supply in the area.
The meeting was presided over by president, Welfare Association, Harkirat Singh Sasan, who said that unscheduled and frequent power cuts and water shortage have made the life of people miserable, especially the students who are preparing for various examinations. Moreover a deputation of Welfare Association met the chairman, Sainik Co-operative, the housing building society, Jammu and apprised him about the grievances and requested him to take up the matter with the authorities of concerned departments to look into the problems and take appropriate remedial measures at the earliest.
