Sainik School Nagrota organises ex-students meet

JAMMU, Dec 18: Sainik School Nagrota organized ex-students meet, in which large number of alumni of the school took part to relive the most memorable moments of their seven years sojourn in the school.
Ex-Nagrotians observed two minutes silence to pay tribute to Major Arvind Bazala, an alumnus of the school who attained martyrdom on November 29, 2016 and also to the martyrs of recent terror attack at Nagrota.
Further proceedings of the event began amidst thunderous applauses on the announcement of Col Kapil Dev Koushal, Principal who is currently being conferred with “Uttarakhand Ratan Award” at Dehradun in recognition of his exemplary leadership and remarkable success in reviving the true essence of Sainik School and achieving historic results.
Lt Col Deepak Singh Thakur, Vice Principal addressed the audience highlighting the achievements of the school in various spheres like academics, sports and games during the year 2016.
The 1991 pass-out batch of Ex-Nagrotians ascended the stage and commemorated silver jubilee year and as a token of gratitude to their almamater, they handed over the key of a new Maruti Eco van to the Vice Principal of the school.
Later, the ex-students visited their respective hostels and interacted with the senior cadets and staff.
