POONCH, Oct 4: ‘Sair-e-Hind’- a capacity building tour for the people of Poonch district to Ajmer, Jaipur and Agra, conducted by the Indian Army was flagged off from Potha village in Poonch today.
The tour aims at giving exposure to the citizens to rich historical, religious and cultural heritage of our country and foster brotherhood, harmony and unity in diversity.
The eight-day tour comprising of 21 people of Poonch district will visit different places at Ajmer, Jaipur and Agra. The tour is scheduled up to October 10, 2018. Army officials interacted with the tour participants and wished them all the success in their endeavours and the participants were also assured of the tour to be learning and enriching experience wherein they would also get an experience and feel of the developments & advancements being made by the nation in various fields.
The tour has been also planned to include a visits to the Paltan Market, Ajmer Sharif, Pushkar, Amer Fort, Pink City, Hawa Mahal & Jal Mahal, Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri.
They will also be interacting with Army officials of the area. Citizens were very excited to be a part of this learning experience, which is surely going to contribute immensely in motivating them to perform better and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation.
