Srinagar, May 18: The Sajid Iqbal Foundation organized its eighth biannual blood donation drive at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Soura here today to commemorate the life and work of noted human rights lawyer Sajid Iqbal.The spokesman of the foundation said that people from all walks of life including lawyers, teachers, bureaucrats, doctors and students, volunteers from SKIMS and JK Police donated blood in large numbers and female donors also donated blood for the noble cause.Sehar Iqbal, Executive Director of the Foundation, while speaking on the occasion, said that blood donation is the most effective way of saving lives and contributing to the society. Dr. Shaukat Zargar, Director SKIMS appreciated the organizers for their continued support.
