Saksham reviews issues pertaining to Divyangs

KATHUA, Aug 4: Saksham meeting was today held at Lakhanpur in Kathua under the Chairmanship of O D Attri, district President Saksham Kathua, Sunil Singh, Prant Secretary and incharge Zila Kathua was the chief guest. Attri briefed them about the further programmes to be organised in the District by the Saksham as assigned by the High Command. It was also discussed and decided in the meeting that on August 19, all Saksham karyakartas will celebrate Raksha Bandhan festival with Divyangs of the district.
Attri said the Saksham is day-night working for the welfare of Divyangs by helping them by making their Divyang certificates Adharcard, Ration card, Railway fare concession certificates, providing them wheel chairs, tricycles and also fighting for increase in their pension from existing Rs 1000/ to Rs 3000/ per month and opening of Skill Development Institute at Kathua for Divyangs.
An intellectual Mahila awareness programme will be organised at District level, and experts doctors, intellectuals from interstate will be invited. It is pertinent to mention that Saksham with the help of Medical College Kathua provided more than 550 railway fare concession certificates to needy Divyangs and after online, the data railway issued concession card to all Divyangs.
Among others, Sardari Singh, Suresh Sharma, Mohinder Waryam Munday, Retired Principal Prof Daya Vilas, Suraj Salia, Mohan Mehra, Naresh Kumar, Kaka Ram, Shuvkarni, and many Divyangs attended the programme.
