JAMMU, Feb 16: A team comprising eight members from Saksham, led by President Advocate Pawan Dev Singh, today met with Prant Pracharak, Rashtriya Swyam Sewak Sang (RSS), Rupesh Kumar at Keshav Bhawan, here.
The meeting with the RSS Prant Pracharak was convened under the guidance of National General Secretary, Abhey Pargal Gupta, Uttar Kshetra Sangathan Mantri, Saksham; Vishwanath Swami, and Prant Patron Saksham B D Sharma.
The productive meeting, lasting around one and a half hours, delved into crucial issues concerning persons with disabilities (divyangs).
President Pawan Dev Singh outlined Saksham’s endeavors and initiatives aimed at the welfare of divyangs, while Abhey Pargal provided insights into Saksham’s nationwide operations.
Swami Vishwanathan extended an invitation to Rupesh Kumar for the Sachiv Baithik scheduled in Jammu on February 24th/25th, elucidating forthcoming agendas, including divyang participation in upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the establishment of a disability commission akin to Haryana’s model.
Rupesh Kumar, in a thoughtful exchange, advocated for selective involvement of political and bureaucratic figures in Saksham programs, emphasizing the need for greater engagement of Sant and Sewaks to enhance sustainability.
He underscored the mantra of “Karyakram, Karyakarta, Karm/Kam” and stressed the importance of quality and committed volunteers.
The meeting also saw participation from Saksham’s Vice-President Daisy Parihar, Secretary Sunil Singh, Treasurer Prem Pal, Advocate Sumit Bhatia, and Prant Prachar Parmukh Satish Manhas.
