REAIS, Oct 7: In an apparent case of suicide, a contractual worker at NHPC Salal Dam was found hanging from ceiling fan hook at his house in Jyotipuram.
The deceased was identified as Rakesh Singh (36), son of Late Gyan Singh, resident of Jyotipuram. He was found hanging today under mysterious circumstances at NHPC Quarter No. F-82, Jyotipuram, Reasi. The deceased was working as a contractual worker at NHPC Salal Dam. Jyotipuram.
On being informed, Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital Reasi for postmortem. After all the legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to the s legal heirs.
Police has initiated an inquest proceeding under Section 174 of CrPC at Police Station Reasi and started further investigation.
