JAMMU, Jan 30:
Sleuths of Jammu and Kashmir Sales Tax Department today conducted survey of a saloon here in posh Gandhi Nagar locality.
The Sales Tax Department conducted survey in De Spa and Saloon and seized the record.
“As a part of ongoing drive launched in view of GST implementations, different teams conducting survey of different business establishments,” an official said.
He said that several complaints were received from the customers regarding non-billing by the saloon authorities following which the survey was conducted.
“We have seized the record and if find any evasion of tax after investigation, necessary action will be initiated and fine will be imposed,” added an official.
He said that similar surveys are also being carried out in different outlets of which the complaints were received. (UNI)
