JAMMU, Oct 4: Police today arrested a salesman of a readymade shop at Kanak Mandi and recovered stolen money Rs 3,90,000 from his possession.
A police spokesman said that owner of whole sale readymade garments shop Narinder Gupta, son of late Yash Paul Gupta of Channi Himmat lodged a complaint regarding theft of Rs 3,90,000 with City Police Station.
After registering a case under FIR number 56/13 and under Section 381 RPC, police started investigation and arrested the salesman of the shop.
The accused has been identified as Pardeep Kumar, he said, adding that on his disclosure, police recovered the stolen amount.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police party headed by SHO Rajesh Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Kulbir Handa.
