SaMaPa conducts music workshop with elevating inaugural session

JAMMU, Apr 22: SaMaPa commenced the music workshops for the year 2015 in Jammu with an elevating session conducted by Jagdeep Kaur, the renowned music teacher of Jammu, today.
SaMaPa has specially conceived these workshops with an aim to create a platform where highly learned musicians and scholars can interact with the young students of the State thereby enhancing the vision of young children.
Kaur said that the workshops are intended to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge of music with comparative analysis between different genres of music; how classical music can enhance the personality and help in the psychological development of a child; why learning classical music is very important in today’s life; and how technology can help to understand, learn and practice music, etc.
The inaugural session of SaMaPa Workshops 2015 was held at Model Institute of Education and Research, BC Road, Jammu. The sessions was attended by a large number of young students and music lovers including the institutes Chairman Dr Arun Gupta, Director Dr Renu Gupta, Joint Director Dr Adit Gupta, Principal Dr Chitra Mishra, vice Principal Usha Gattoo, Management representative  Rupa Gupta, convener  Manju Wali, Academic Manager Jasleen and other members and staff of the music department.
Jagdeep Kaur thanked the chairman and the other members of the administration including cultural coordinator Amarjot Kaur for hosting the inaugural workshop of 2015. The workshops will now be held regularly at various institutes of Jammu.
