SAMBA, Apr 3: Samba Police has issued a lookout notice to trace the two absconding gangsters involved in December 25 Akshay murder case at Ramnagar and announced a reward of Rs one lakh each on them. The lookout notice was issued by Police quick on the heels of yesterday’s encounter with the gang at GMC Kathua in which one PSI was of Samba police and a gangster was killed inside GMC Kathua while another gangster was injured while two others succeeded to escape.
To arrest the remaining two gangsters the Samba police has announced a reward of Rs one lakh on each one of them. The police has said that the identity of the informer will be kept a secret.
The people intending to provide information about the two gangsters have been asked to contract on PCR Samba phone number 9541649001 or SSP Samba01923-264100 or email dposamba@jkpolice.gov.in.
The two gangsters whose lookout notice has been issued by District Police Samba included Luddan Sansiya, 24, son of Popy of Kalyana, R S Pura, district Jammu and Rohit Kumar @ Makhan, 24 son of Bodh Raj of Kotli Riyan, R S Pura district Jammu.
The duo is among the six gangsters involved in the murder of Akshay. SSP Samba , Vinay Kumar told Excelsior that police has launched a manhunt for the criminals and he expressed the hope that a breakthrough will be achieved soon.
He said three miscreants were also arrested today b Samba police and some sharp edged weapons were recovered from their possession also.
SSP said Samba police has nabbed three miscreants in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal and recovered sharp edged weapon (Toka) from the car they were travelling.
He said a police party of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal headed by SHO during vehicle checking at Naka Tapyal, intercepted a car coming from Kathua side bearing Registration No. CH01CE-6847 for checking. During checking, a sharp edged weapon (Toka) has been found lying in the car.
The accused identified as Sikander Singh, son of Bishan Singh of Jasath Ghagwal, Tony Sharma son of Bishan Das Sharma of Harsath Ghagwal and Rakesh Singh @ Chiku son of Sham Singh also of Jasath Ghagwal have been arrested and the car has also been seized.
A case FIR No. 38/2024 U/S 4/25 Arms Act, 34 IPC has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
