SAMBA, Sept 22: Based on specific information from DSB Samba, a Police Party of PS Ramgarh led by SI Bansi Lal, SHO Ramgarh and under close supervision of Abhishek Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur apprehended one Sethi Choudhary, 26 S/o Ghari Lal of Chak Babral, Ramgarh from Chak Salarian and recovered 800 gm poppy straw from his possession. He was arrested on spot along with contraband items. In this regard case FIR No. 54/2017 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation is going on.
It may be recalled that District Police Samba has launched a drive against the menace of the drugs on the direction of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
Meanwhile Vijaypur Police in its strenuous efforts on an information arrested a drug peddler namely Rinku Gupta S/o Sangi Ram of Vijaypur camp and recovered 1.5 kg poppy straw (bhukki) from his possession which he has concealed beneath the driver’s seat in polythene bag inside his truck bearing Registration Number JK21/5900.
In this connection a case FIR No.132/2017 U/s 8/15 NDPS got registered at P/S Vijaypur. The operation was carried out by Vijaypur Police led by Inspector Suraj Pathania SHO P/S Vijaypur under the immediate supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Abhisheik Sharma and under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra.
