Samba police arrests 2 including SPO for torturing their wives

SAMBA, June 24 : Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh, police has arrested two persons including one Special Police Officer (SPO) for brutally beating up and severely injuring their wives. One grievously injured woman has sustained fracture in right arm among other injuries and is admitted to GMC Jammu.
The arrested husbands, who, under the influence of liquor, assaulted their wives and grievously injured them have been identified as Ajmeer Singh son of Jagdish Singh of Budhwani, Samba and Ravi Kumar (SPO) son of MadanLal of Swankha, Ramgarh.
Two separate cases FIR Number 156/2023 and FIR Number 35/2023 have been registered at Police Station (PS) Samba and PS Ramgarh respectively on the written complaints of victim wives. Both of them have been arrested and investigation is underway.
Rajni Sambyal wife of Ajmeer Singh of Budhwani, Samba has sustained fracture in right arm among other severe injuries and is admitted to GMC Jammu due to murderous attack under the influence of liquor by none other than her own husband who is auto-driver, whereas Shalo Devi wife of Ravi Kumar (SPO) of Swankha, Ramgarh has sustained severe blunt injuries with lathis, kicks and blows due to assault by her own life-partner under the influence of liquor.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh has already issued directions to all SDPOs, SHOs, in charge Police Posts to ensure zero tolerance against crime against women and to take stringent legal action against perpetrators of domestic violence.
