SAMBA , July 7: Samba police has worked out yet another case of bike lifting in successive day under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, with the arrest of two bike lifters and recovered five stolen bikes by police team of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur.
Police said during the investigation of a case FIR No. 98/2022 U/S 379 IPC registered at PS Vijaypur regarding theft of a motorcycle (Splendor Pro) bearing Registration Number JK21B/5173, the Police team headed by SHO PS Vijaypur, Inspector, Rajeev Kumar assisted by PSI Sajid Jaral, PSI Vikrant Kotwal and PSI Sudheer Singh Charak under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Ms. Priyanka Kumari has arrested two suspects namely, Karanjit Singh son of Manjeet Singh of Khour Deonian, RS Pura, Sandeep Kumar son of Ashok Kumar of Khour RS Pura.
During sustained questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in the theft case of motorbike. Further on their disclosure, four more two-wheelers were recovered in other theft cases committed by them. The five motorbikes recovered by Police Station Vijaypur included, Splendor (Black & Blue colour) without Registration Number, Chassis Number MBLHA106FE04552, Super Splendor (Black colour) Registration Number. JK02BV/6277, Chassis Number MBLJAR033H9G37703 , Apache (Red colour) Registration Number JK02AL/3075, Chassis Number, MD634KE482K24019, Discover (Red colour) Registration Number JK02AP/ 1853, Chassis Number MD2USDSZZPCB79770 and Splendor Pro (Black colour) Registration Number, JK21B/5173, Chassis Number MBLHA10BFE9L0099.
Police said further investigation in the matter is on. It is pertinent to mention here that yesterday Samba police has arrested a bike lifter and recovered three motorbikes in a case registered at Police Station, Bari-Brahmana.
