Samba police arrests 3 thieves, solves theft case

SAMBA, Apr 19: Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, police has achieved yet another major success in intensive drive against thieves, arrested three thieves and recovered stolen Bolero vehicle worth rupees 12 lacs approximately.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Mohammad Talib, son of Abdullah of Rakhsarkar Hiranagar, district Kathua, Saif Ali alias Saifu Dodu son of Shukar Din of village Sungla, tehsil Majalta district Udhampur and Manzoor Hussain son of Abdullah of Rakhsarkar Hiranagar district Kathua.
A theft case FIR No. 87/2023 U/S 379 IPC which was registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli has been solved and further investigation is going on.
Samba police conducted raids at Sungla village of tehsil Majalta, district Udhampur, Bathindi Jammu & Samba and arrested all the three thieves involved in the theft of Bolero vehicle which was stolen during mid-night hours from Chak Manga Gujjran Samba. The arrests of thieves were made by a police team comprising of Chowki Officer, Rakh Amb Talli, PSI Vineet Singh, Chowki Officer, Mansar, PSI, Deepak Sharma and SHO Samba, Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that Samba Police has arrested as many as 67 thieves in three months and solved 34 theft cases and intensive drive against thieves is still underway.
