Samba police arrests 4 gamblers

SAMBA, May 10: Continuing intensive drive against wrongdoers on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, Police have apprehended four gamblers involved in playing Matka Satta gambling red-handed and recovered pens, notebook, paper sheets and cash of Rs 1890 from their possession.
Acting on specific tip off regarding gambling, police team comprising of SHO Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma in charge District Special Branch, Inspector, Sumit Sharma and SI, Nanak Chand under the supervision of Deputy SP, Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary raided the gambling spot at Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana and apprehended four gamblers playing Matka Satta gambling along with pens, notebook, paper sheets & cash of rupees 1890.
The apprehended gamblers have been identified as Sarvan Kumar, son of Bhoj Ram of Chhattisgarh at present, Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Rajesh Sharma son of Jugal Kushore of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Mohammad Hamid, son of Khursheed Mohammad of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana and Pinky Gogel, son of Nand Lal of Chhattisgarh A/P Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana Samba. Legal action under Section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against the gamblers.
