Samba police arrests 4 hardcore criminals

SAMBA, June 13 : Police under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has achieved yet another success and arrested four hardcore criminals including two main accused involved in attempt to murder case at Vijaypur and two involved in bovine smuggling and rescued 12 bovine animals.
The arrested persons have been identified as Bhushan Lal alias Banu son of Sardari Lal of Nanak Chack district Samba, Keshav Sharma alias Prince son of Shubkaran Sharma of Vijaypur district Samba, Nisar Khan, son of Ghulam Ahmed Qadir Khan of Rakh Brah, tehsil Shangus district Anantnag and Yaser Hussain, son of Mohd Yousaf of Qazigund district Anantnag.
SSP Samba said that with the arrest of hardcore criminals “Bhanu” and “Prince”, attempt to murder case FIR No. 59/2023 U/S 307/326/147 IPC, 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station, Vijaypur has been solved. Moreover, police has registered fresh FIR No. 151/2023 u/s 188 IPC,11 PCA Act at Police Station Samba against notorious bovine smugglers Nisar and Yaser of Anantnag as they had been involved in smuggling of bovine animals from Jammu region to Kashmir Valley, he said.
SSP said hardcore criminals Bhushan Lal alias Banu and Keshav Sharma alias Prince involved in attempt to murder case have been arrested by police team comprising of Sohail Munir under the supervision of SHO Police Station (PS) Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria, whereas notorious bovine smugglers Nisar Khan and Yaser Hussain have been arrested by police team comprising of ASI Manzoor Hussain under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh.
Benam Tosh said that attempt to murder case at Vijaypur has been solved as main accused have been arrested, special drive against criminals and smugglers launched by Samba Police has remained successful. Several hardcore anti-social elements have been arrested so far and drive is being continued vigorously, he added.
