Samba police arrests 4 notorious thieves

SAMBA, July 26: Samba Police has worked out three theft cases, arrested four notorious thieves and recovered stolen cash and items in the jurisdiction of Police Station, (PS), Bari Brahmana.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Sher Lal, son of Darshan Lal, Shamsher Kumar, son of Bansi Lal both residents of Badhori, Baribrahmana, district Samba, Rohan Lal, son of Roshan Lal both residents of Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana and Jagpal Singh, son of Surinder Singh of Kunjwani district Jammu.
Three theft cases — Smailpur medical shop theft case FIR No. 187/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC, Telli Basti household items theft case FIR No. 189/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC and Bari Brahmana Shivalaya Construction Company’s theft case FIR No. 161/2023 U/S 379/427 IPC registered at Police Station, Bari Brahmana have been worked out, stolen cash and other items have been recovered. Further investigation is going on and some more arrests are likely.
The notorious thieves have been arrested by police team comprising of SHO Police Station, (PS) Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, SI, Balbir Singh, PSI Vivek Singh and PSI, Nirmal Singh under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP, Samba Surinder Choudhary and on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh.
SSP Benam Tosh said that total 113 thieves have been arrested and 56 theft cases have been solved by Samba Police in past six months and all out efforts are being made to crack all theft cases registered in the district.
