Samba police arrests 4 smugglers

SAMBA, Apr 6: Samba police under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary has arrested four smugglers of bovines and illicit liquor. The police has also rescued bovines and recovered illicit liquor.
Police said four arrested smugglers of bovines and illicit liquor have been identified as Rafakat Ali, son of Mohd Shamin of village Sail, tehsil Majalta, district Udhampur, Suba, son of Late Lal of Kali Purani Sikri, tehsil and district Samba, Iqbal Singh, son of Dewan Singh of Rakh Jhang, Ramgarh and Sunil Kumar, son of Raj Kumar of Radwan, Ramgarh.
Three separate FIRs under relevant sections of the law have been registered at PS Samba through Police Post (PP) Mansar and PS Ramgarh and investigations have been started.
Out of four arrested smugglers of bovines and illicit liquor, two bovine smugglers have been arrested and 07 bovines have been rescued at Mansar by a police team comprising of Chowki Officer, Mansar, Deepak Sharma, SHO Samba, Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram whereas two smugglers of liquor have been arrested and 10 litres of illicit liquor & 10 bottles of JK Special Whisky have been recovered from their possession by a team comprising of PSI, Anjum Hussain, PSI, Vikrant Kotwal, SHO, Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari.
