Samba police arrests 5 criminals

SAMBA, Oct 13: Samba police have arrested five hardened criminals involved in attempt to murder, extortion, kidnapping and rape in the jurisdiction of Police Station(PS), Vijaypur, PS Samba and PS Bari Brahmana.
The arrested persons have been identified as Farman of Vijaypur, Hameed, Fareed and Shabir of Bari Brahmana and Abinashof Samba.
While Abinash has been arrested by Samba police from Punjab for kidnapping and rape of minor girl student, Farman, Hameed, Fareed and Shabir have been arrested for murderous attacks and extortion.
Three cases under FIR No.132/2023 U/S 307, 382, 353, 332, 148, 149, 34 IPC, case FIR No.244/2023 U/S 307, 323, 341, 147, 148, 382 IPC and case FIR No.233/2023 U/S 363,376 IPC, 3/4 POCSO Act have been registered at Police Station, Vijaypur, Police Station, Bari Brahmana and Police Station Samba respectively.
The accused have been arrested under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh by police teams comprising of SHO Police Station, Vijaypur Sandeep Charak, SHO Police Station Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma, SHO Police Station, Samba Daljit Singh and PSI Davinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO, Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar, SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar, DySPGaru Ram and Additional SP Samba SurinderChoudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that 133 hardcore criminals involved in heinous crimes have been arrested in past nine months in Samba and people have taken a sigh of relief after proactive approach adopted by police.
