SAMBA, May 16 : Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has apprehended seven vagrants who were found roaming near ‘Chitta’ hotspots under preventive sections of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana.
The apprehended vagrants have been identified as Manmeet Singh, son of Joginder Singh of Preet Nagar Digyana Jammu, Subham son of Suresh Kumar of Muthi district Jammu, Danish son of Ashok Kumar of Muthi district Jammu, Abhishekh Sharma son of Abhi Raj Sharma of Muthi district Jammu, Rinku son of Rajinder Singh of TeliBasti, Bari Brahamana, Sajad Ahmed son of Mohd Sadiq of Surankote, district Poonch and Sagir Ahmed son of Mohammad Ayoub of Dhanore district Rajouri. All the seven vagrants were apprehended while roaming about suspiciously near known ‘Chitta’ hotspots of BaloleKhad and SaroreKhad, Bari Brahmana and thus, appropriate preventive legal action has been taken.
The arrests have been made by police team comprising of SHO Police Station, Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, in charge District NDPS team, Inspector, Sumit Sharma, PSI Mohammad Aslam, PSI Nirmal Singh under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh has appealed to the parents, guardians, teachers and elders of the society to ask senior students and youth to avoid wandering near known ‘Chitta’ hotspots as police patrolling has been intensified around suspected hotspots of ‘Chitta’ in Samba district and vagrants are being apprehended.
