SAMBA, June 25: Acting sternly against the drug menace district police Samba arrested one bootlegger and recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor from him.
A police party of Police Station, Samba headed by Inspector, Chanchal Singh, SHO Samba under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, DySP Hqrs Samba, laid a special naka in Samba area and intercepted one person namely Manjeet Singh S/o Pritam Singh R/o Pandhour, Samba on suspicious ground. During his frisking 40 pouches of illicit liquor of JK desi whisky each 250 ml were recovered from his possession which he used to sell illegally in the area. The accused person was arrested on the spot and the illicit liquor was also seized. Taking cognizance into the matter, a case FIR No. 180/2018 U/S 48(F) Excise Act got registered at P/S Samba and investigation started.
