Samba police arrests drug peddler, seizes heroin

SAMBA, May 15 : Under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police has arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered heroin (‘chitta’) worth rupees 25000 approximately from his possession.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Rakesh Singh, son of Baldev Singh of Purkhoo Camp Domana, Jammu. A case FIR No. 119/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station, Bari Brahmana and further investigation is going on.
The drug peddler has been arrested by District NDPS Team and DSB under the supervision of Inspector, Sumit Sharma, SHO PS Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, SDPO Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
After the launch of special drive against heroin smugglers, suppliers and peddlers on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, total 36 notorious Narco-suppliers have been arrested in four months in district Samba and several others have been booked under relevant sections of law in different FIRs and raids are being conducted by Police to nab them.
