SAMBA, Dec 7: Police have arrested hardcore criminal and recovered ‘Desi Katta’ from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur today.
The arrested hardcore criminal has been identified as Vivek Singh son of Jaswant Singh of Pakhri, tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba.
A case FIR No.173/2023 U/S 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation is underway.
On the disclosure of the hardcore criminal, one 12 Bore Single Barrel Rifle has also been recovered by police from the cowshed of his house.
In 2018, hardened criminal Vivek Singh was arrested by police along with another accused Aman Slathia of Andrar Mandi, Gurha Slathiain in kidnapping and attempt to murder case FIR No.155/2018 U/S 307,366,323,34 RPC of Police Station Vijaypur which stands challaned in the court of law and is still under trial.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that a total of 155 hardcore criminals have been arrested by Samba police in past ten months and strong legal action is being taken against the criminals, miscreants and Gunda elements in the district.
