Samba police arrests top Inter State narco smuggler

SAMBA, May 11: Police under the professional guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has achieved another success in anti-drug drive by arresting top Inter -State narco-smuggler who was evading arrest since 2019.
The notorious Inter-State narco-smuggler arrested by police has been identified as Rashid Hussain Thoker, son of Mohammad Yousaf Thoker of Pulwama. He was main accused involved in case FIR No. 261/2019 U/s 8/15/25/29 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Samba in 2019. Moreover, he is also involved in two NDPSA cases registered by Punjab Police viz case FIR No. 81/2022 U/S 15C/29/61/85 NDPS Act registered at Police Station (PS) Maqsudan district Jalandhar (Punjab) and case FIR No. 9/2021 U/s 15C/27/29/61/85 registered at Police Station Goraya, district Jalandhar (Punjab).
Samba Police had been conducting raids at various suspected hideouts of this top smuggler in JK UT and outside the UT finally succeeded in locating & capturing him. The arrest was made by a police team comprising of SHO Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, PSI, Davinder Singh and PSI Shakti Singh under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP, Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh has issued directions to all Police officers to arrest all smugglers, suppliers and peddlers of narcotic substances and to clear Samba district from the ugly drug menace.
