SAMBA, June 20: Samba Police led by Inspector Sanjeev Singh Chib, SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, DySP HQ, Samba busted an inter State gang of fraudsters by apprehending six accused operating in different states and cheating the innocent people on the pretext that they have the Copper radium a precious material which is commonly called “Trattgola” emerging during thunderous lightening from the sky. It has value in crores of rupees in the International market.
The accused included Mohammed Imran, son of Aziz Ahmed R/o Lucknow, Jagdish Kataria son of Soberan Singh R/o Kullu Himachal Pradesh, Parshotam Goswami son of Hoshiyar Goswami R/o Merut UP, Rakesh Kumar son of Laxmi Narayan R/o UP, Kamal Kapoor son of Banwari Lal R/o Delhi and Munish Kumar son of Ramesh Chander R/o Delhi. They were arrested from Sharda Guest House Samba.
Police said the members of the gang admitted that they were operating in different States and cheating the innocent people. They further disclosed that they telephonically duped one Parshotam Lal S/o Vikram Chand R/o Arazi Samba who on the directions of Mohd Imran, one of the accused, deposited Rs. five lakh and Sixty thousand in his account.
Thereafter, when the above mentioned gang reported in district Samba to handover the so called material “Trattgola” to Parshotam Lal of district Samba and demanded more amount, police team on a tip off raided the guest house and nabbed them. However, during their search, no such material has been recovered from their possession.
On this, case FIR No. 107/2015 u/s 420 RPC was registered at P/S Samba and investigation started. During thorough questioning, they disclosed that they have not any such material and were taking money from the people by duping them on one pretext or the other. District Police Samba has appealed the general public not to fall prey before such elements and immediately report such matters to police for strict action against them.
