SAMBA, May 10: Samba Police has busted a militant hideout and recovered cache of ammunition and explosives in the jurisdiction of Police Post, Gouran falling under the Police Station Samba.
This was stated by SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak at a press conference here, today along with Additional SP, Faisal Qureshi and other police officers.
He said the hideout was busted yesterday after the police received an information that some grenades and explosives were lying in the area.
The recoveries made by the police included 54 live rounds of AK- 47 and three Primed live Chinese made Hand Grenades two HG of mark ARGES and one HG of mark 86-P/632), SSP disclosed.
He said a case FIR No. 120/2020 U/S 7/25 Arms Act, 3/4 Explosive Substance Act has been registered at Police Station Samba.
