SAMBA, Dec, 2: District Police Samba today foiled two consecutive attempts to smuggle bovines by rescuing 10 animals in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
A police party of PS Ghagwal while performing vehicle checking duty at Naka Point NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number. PB07BX/3253. During checking the vehicle, five bovines were illegally found laden inside it which were being transported in a cruel manner.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 170/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal.
Similarly, a police party of PS Ghagwal rescued five more bovines at Naka point NH Tapyal in Ghagwal tehsil which were being transported illegally in a vehicle Mahindra load carrier bearing Registration Number, PB02CR/6873.
In this regard a case FIR Number, 171/2022/US 188IPC, 11PCA Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
All the bovines rescued in these two incidents have been shifted to safer places and the vehicle used for transportation has been also seized.
