SAMBA, Sept, 24: District Police Samba today successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing five animals and seized a vehicle in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
Acting on information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a police party of PS Ghagwal at Naka Tapyal, Ghagwal NHW intercepted one Mahindra Bolero pickup bearing Registration No. JK08D/5044 for checking.
During checking the said vehicle, five bovines were found which were tied in a cruel manner and were transported without any permission.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 140/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
