SAMBA, Feb 22: Intensifying its drive against illegal mining in the district, Samba police has seized three vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
A police team of Police Post (PP), Supwal headed by in charge Police Post (PP) Supwal while performing patrolling duty in Phulpur area, has seized one dumper bearing Registration Number, JK21C- 2988 for illegal mining/transportation of construction material in the area.
Similarly, a police party of Police Post Goran headed by in charge Police Post Goran during patrolling duty in Sumbarea has seized two tractor trolleys bearing Registration Number JK21E- 8206 and other without Registration Number for illegal mining/transportation in the area.
The vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
