Samba police seizes 7 more vehicles

SAMBA, Dec 29 : Continuing vigorous drive against illegal mining launched by Samba police, seven more vehicles have been seized which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Teams of Police Station (PS) Purmandal, Police Post RakhAmbTalli, Police Post Rajpura, Police Post, Utterbheni and Police Post, Supwal have seized seven more vehicles being used for illegal mining at their respective jurisdictional areas.
The seized vehicles are one dumper bearing registration Number JK21-9398, four tractor trolleys bearing Registration Number, JK02CW-0769, JK02CH-8702, JK21G-9653, JK21B-7164 and two tractor trolleys without registration numbers.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 250 vehicles have been seized in past eleven months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would not allow illegal mining in Samba district, he added.
