Samba police seizes 7 more vehicles for illegal mining

SAMBA, Aug 17: In continuation to drive against illegal mining launched on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, police has seized seven more vehicles including one excavator which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station, Samba, Rajeshwar Singh and SHO Police Station, Vijaypur, Tribhawan Khajuria under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized seven more vehicles including one excavator being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included one JCB without registration Number, five dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21G-7098, JK21H-0430, JK21H-6739, JK02CT-4277 & JK21G-0372 and one tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21G-5583.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 116 vehicles have been seized in past seven months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district, he added.
