Samba Police seizes Indane gas tanker, arrests shopkeeper for black marketing

SAMBA, June 30: Ghagwal Police during a raid today at NH Sand Bari near Ghagwal arrested one shopkeeper for filling up gas cylinder illegally for black marketing late last night. The Indane gas tanker as well as two filled cylinders and 15 other unfilled gas cylinders besides the implements/instruments used for filling the gas from the Tanker to the empty cylinders were also seized from the spot by the police. However, the driver of the Gas Tanker taking advantage of the darkness managed to escape from the spot.
Police said at about 2200 hours late last night based on the basis of some inputs given to the officials of District Special Branch Samba, Police Station Ghagwal was informed that the driver of one Indane Gas Tanker bearing registration No.PB13AR-4812 is filling the gas cylinders illegally/directly in the empty gas cylinder provided by one shopkeeper namely Tara Chand S/o Sai Dass, age 38 years R/o Sand Bari, Ghagwal behind his shop at NHW Sand Bari for black marketing and profiting purpose.
Accordingly a Police team of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SI Rajeshwar Singh, SHO P/S Ghagwal under the close supervision of Tanveer Ahmed Dy.SP Hqrs, Samba and under the directives of Anil Magotra- SSP Samba raided the said place and effected the arrest of the shopkeeper who was caught red handed while filling the gas cylinders illegally.
In this regard a case FIR No. 64/2017 U/S 3/7 E.C. Act, 407 RPC stands registered in P/S Ghagwal and investigation of the case has been taken up.
