SAMBA, July 15: Another full truck loaded with Civil Supplies and Consumer Department ration was seized by Samba Police today.
According to police a reliable information was received at PP Supwal regarding the illegal carrying of Government ration in a truck bearing Regd. No. PB06L-9597, which was on its way from Swankha Morh towards Pathankot. On getting the information, Samba Police immediately swung into action and laid a special naka at Brian. The naka was led by SI Neeraj Ramotra IC PP Supwal and intercepted the vehicle. During checking of the vehicle, recovery of the Government ration was made and the driver of the vehicle namely Birbal S/o Prem Chand R/o Maan Singh Pathankot Punjab was arrested on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No 145/2017 u/s 3/7 Essential Commodities Act, 407/409 RPC registered at P/S Samba and Investigation started. The recovery and arrest was made under the supervision of Tanveer Ahmed, Dy. SP Hqrs Samba and under the overall supervision of Anil Magotra , Senior Superintendent of Police Samba.
