SAMBA, Aug 31: Exhibiting high degree of professionalism, Samba Police has solved the mysterious death case of Rani Devi, converted inquest proceedings into FIR and arrested her husband.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba, Benam Tosh said that inquest proceedings initiated under Section 174 CrPC into the mysterious death of 42-year-old Rani Devi of Harsath, Ghagwal district Samba to ascertain the actual cause of death has been converted into FIR under Section 306 IPC. Her husband has been arrested and further investigation started.
He said on August 13, information was received at Police Station (PS) Ghagwal regarding suspicious death of Rani Devi and upon this inquest was initiated, postmortem was got conducted and other legal formalities were completed. Police collected evidence and concluded that deceased Rani Devi had consumed some poisonous substance due to abetment to suicide by her husband. Thus, inquest has been culminated into FIR and accused arrested.
The arrested person has been identified as Surinder Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Harsath, tehsil Ghagwal district Samba.
Inquest proceedings have been brought to logical conclusion by SI, Narayan Singh under the supervision of SHO, Police Station Ghagwal, Bharat Bhushan, DySP, Garu Ram and Additional SP, Samba Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, mysterious death cases in Samba district are being solved on merits expeditiously and accused involved are being arrested under law.
