Samba Police solves mystery behind threatening letters

SAMBA, Nov 12: With the arrest of Parveen Singh Rathore son of Mohan Singh, resident of Nonath, Ghagwal Samba, District Police Samba has worked out the mystery behind the threatening letters recovered from the school premises at Ghagwal just before the visit Sushil Kumar Shinde, Union Home Minister who has come to Samba in the aftermath of twin militant’s attack at Hiranagar and Samba.
According to police after the recovery of letters, panic gripped the public as the letters were emphasizing on the closure of schools or else the mass murder of the students & the staff.
Parveen Singh Rathore, who is a Private School Teacher at Modern Educational Institute, Ghagwal, has confessed that he had written these letters. On the basis of the complaints received from Amarjeet Sharma, Principal of Modern Educational Institute, Ghagwal, Police registered Case FIR No. 88/2013 u/s 505/426 RPC at P/S Ghagwal and the investigation was carried out by Hilal Khaliq Bhat, DySP, Incharge SHO P/S Ghagwal who under the supervision of Munish Anand, DySP HQ Samba, Shailendra Rajesh Mishra IPS, Addl. SP Samba and Israr Khan SSP Samba, analyzed the admitted handwritings of students/staff of different schools of the area and during investigation and questioning on repeated times. Rathore confessed his involvement in the crime. With this, panic among the public in general and students in particular has been reduced. The locals have hailed the professional action by District Police Samba.
