Samba police solves theft case within 24 hours

2 accused arrested, bike recovered

SAMBA, Mar 24: Samba police has solved a theft case registered at Police Station (PS) Samba within 24 hours, arrested two thieves and recovered stolen bike from their possession.
Police said on Saturday a written report was lodged at Police Post (PP) Goran by one Sarban Kumar son of Ram Ditta of Jallapur, Sumb tehsil and district Samba stating therein that an unknown person has stolen his motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK21G-3304 along with some cash from my shop at Jallapur, Sumb.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 78/2024 U/S 457/380 IPC has been registered at Police Station (PS) Samba and investigation started to work out the theft case.
With use of physical and technical surveillance, team led by Incharge Police Post (PP) Goran arrested the accused Sunny Kumar, son of Mohan Lal of Ward No. 1, Pakki Mandi Samba who upon sustained questioning confessed his involvement in the instant case. Furthermore, co-accused namely Ashok Kumar son of Churu Ram of Ward No 10, Araazi Samba was also arrested who had received the stolen bike from the accused Sunny Kumar and concealed inside his house. The stolen splendor motorcycle has been recovered from the house of Ashok Kumar upon his disclosure. Further investigation into the case is going on, police said.
