Samba police works out blind murder of lady

SAMBA, Nov 6: Samba Police today worked out the blind murder of Kanta Devi, wife of Subash Singh of Daveka Samba by arresting one Jeet Singh son of Bikru of Daveka Samba.
The Samba Police received an information on October 28 this year that the dead body of already was found in the forest area of Daveka with lacerated neck injury. Soon after the report Dr Shailendra Rajesh Mishra, Additional SP Samba, Munish Anand, Dy SP Samba, Munish Anand, Dy SP HQ Samba and Inspector Ravinder Singh, SHO Samba rushed to the spot and sanitized the area.
An FIR No 215/2013 U/S 302 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Samba and started investigation. Later SSP Samba Israr Khan also visited the site of crime. Different investigating teams were sent to Jatwal, Bari Brahmana, Chann Arorian, Kathua and Mukerian in Punjab to work out the different angles of murder.
The Police said however the circumstances of the case took a turn when the prime suspect Jeet Singh was subjected to the lie detection test subsequent to which he was arrested by Police Station Samba and was put to sustained interrogation and he confessed the commission of crime. Later the police party was also deputed to the place of crime for further recovery on the revelations made by him, police added.
It said the weapon of offense and broken mobile of the deceased were recovered from the spot as revealed by the accused.
The police said the motive behind the brutal murder was the illicit relationship of the deceased with other two persons besides the main accused. He had twice caught the lady with her new lovers in the jungle and that had become a source of embarrassment for the entire family and extreme jealousy and hatred for the deceased that ultimately led to gruesome crime.
The Police said the crime appeared to be preplanned and was executed in a professional manner.
