Sampark establishes help desk

JAMMU, Nov 19 :- To help and facilitate general public after demonetisation, Sampark Economical Development Society today established a help desk in front of State Bank of India, Purani Mandi, here.
After bold step of the government to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes the banks are loaded with rush of people for exchange and deposit.
Keeping in view the plight of the people, the Sampark set up the help desk to assist people in filling the exchange forms besides providing tea, water and refreshment. The Society has made special arrangements for senior citizens, elderly, Divyang and women and the people are also being provided with required forms for bank transactions.
The current initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the society to make people aware and help public by organising camps, help desks and awareness campaigns about various social welfare and other Government schemes.
President, Sampark Economical Development Society  Nisha Verma said that for those senior citizens and differently abled persons who were not able to stand in queue for long time the society members have stood in queues and helped in all possible ways. She also lauded the step taken by the Central Government to fight corruption and weed  out black money.
