JAMMU, Jan 19: Samprati conducted two important programmes at K L Saigal Hall. Conducted by Dr Roshan Saraf the programme was attended by many a luminaries from the fields of various fine arts and literature.
Dr R L Bhat welcomed the guests and presented a detailed discussive talk on the usage of script and words in nastalik and other languages.The simplicity and complexities of particular script as used in various nastalik scriptures was discussed. Dr R L Shant’s book on Hari Krishen Koul was presented as a master example by the veteran writer and discussed in details. He stressed the need of preserving the Kashmiri language in gen next. This programme was presided by Dr P N Trisal besides writer Dr R L Shant.
The second programme was a colourful multilingual mushaira in which various people recited their afsanas and poems in different languages. This programme was presided by vetran poet Badrinath Abilash. The writers poets who recited included Kundan Paaras, Rajkumari Razdan, Bimla Aima, Kusum Dhar, Rattan Lal Tashna, Tej Sagar, Ashok Gowhar, Dr R L Bhat, Dr R L Shant, Somnath Sanam, Badrinath Abilash, B L Arpan, Kanayalal Pardesi, Rajender Aagosh, A K Zadu, Satish K Safeer, M K Maharaj, Shyam Bihari, Vijay Wali, Deepak Raina Shalmari, Virender Rawal, P N Shad, M L Kemmu, K K Lidhu and Dr Roshan Saraf Roshe Roshe. The audience was enriched by Singer Naina Saproo Trisal, Musician Krishen Ji Langoo, Prof H L Misri, Journalist Shiban Khaibri, Kiran Kachroo and Rakesh Koul. Vote of thanks was proposed by secretary Samprati Kundan Paaras who stressed the need of discipiline and atticates particularly in gen next for preserving values culture and mother tongue.
