JAMMU, Oct 8: The five day long Samved Yagya culminated here today at Arya Samaj Bakshi Nagar with the ritual of Puran Aahuti.
The Samved Yagya was started on October 4 with daily Hawan twice in morning and in the evening by Vedic Scholar, Dr. Vidyadhar Shastri supported by Vikas Shastri along with recitation of devotional songs by Arya Dinesh Pathik.
Vedic sermons were delivered by Acharya Somdev from Ajmer (Rajasthan).
Today the ritual of Puran Aahuti was performed to mark the culmination of Samved Yagya from 8 am to 9.30 am after which other programmes continued till 1 pm when a Langar was organized to serve the devotees.
Prominent among those who were present and offered their services during the spiritual sessions were Ravi Kant, president Arya Samaj Bakshi Nagar; Sanjeev Gupta, vice president; Narender Trehan, vice president; Dr. Anita, vice president; Pawan Gupta, cashier and Yogesh Gupta, secretary.
