Sanatan Dharm Sabha seeks ‘Sanatan Board’

JAMMU, July 17: The annual meeting of Shri Sanatan Dharm Sabha Jammu Kashmir was held at Geeta Bhawan, Parade, Jammu, under the presidency of Parshotam Dadhichi, the President of the Sabha.
The meeting aimed to discuss and suggest measures to promote and propagate the values of Sanatan (eternal) way of life.
Arun Gupta, the Vice-President of the Sabha and President of the Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to share their ideas on preaching and propagating the Sanatan values.
Sanjay Koul, Incharge of Math Mandir Vibhag, proposed regular engagement with temples and shrines to make them centers of devotion and empowerment.
Anil Masoom, Corporator and President of Sanatan Dharm Natak Samaj at Dewan Mandir, highlighted the significant role played by Natak Samaj in awakening society through performances like Ram Leela and Krishan Leela.
Virender Jain, former President of S S Jain Sabha and a prominent advocate of Gou Bhakti (cow devotion), emphasized the importance of Gou Raksha Samiti (cow protection committee) and Gou Shalas (cow shelters) in safeguarding cows.
Dr Sanjay Kaushal reaffirmed the Sabha’s commitment to providing moral education through the three schools run by the organization.
Shakti Dutt, the Vice President, stressed the need for organizing Kathas (religious discourses) and Dharmik Yatras (religious pilgrimages) to enlighten society.
Parbhat Singh, the General Secretary, highlighted the various functions and activities conducted by the Sabha over the past year.
After hearing the suggestions put forward by the participants, Parshotam Dadhichi acknowledged the global recognition of the greatness and scientific nature of Sanatan values and way of life.
He appealed to both the Union Territory and Central Governments to establish a “Sanatan Board” similar to the Wakf Board, which would help preserve and protect the Sanatan values of life, Dev Sathan Literature, and property.
