JAMMU, Sept 10: The General Administration Department (GAD) has accorded prosecution sanction in one more case of Disproportionate Assets (DA).
Official sources told EXCELSIOR that General Administration Department has given approval to prosecute Nazir Ahmad Choudhary, then Assistant Executive Engineer in TLDC-1, Panama Chowk in Disproportionate Assets case.
The case against the officer was registered by the State Vigilance Organization in 2007 vide FIR No.14.
Sources said that after the Vigilance Organization sought sanction to prosecute AEE in DA case, the officer moved a representation and on February 16, 2012, the Commissioner of Vigilance was requested to furnish comments on the version of the officer.
“Now, following receipt of Vigilance Commissioner’s comments, the GAD has accorded sanction to prosecute AEE”, sources said.
