Sangam Theatre Group stages Dogri play `Rishtay’

REASI, Mar 2: Dogri play “Rishtay” was staged by Sangam Theatre Group Reasi at NHPC Auditorium here today. The play is written by Shiv Kumar Doblia and directed by M Akram Khan.
The play is about to strengthen the bond of Hindu – Muslim brotherhood and highlights the plight of old age man having three sons. However, when he requires medicines and attention to cure his diseases due to old age, no one pays attention and remains away from the old man by giving various excuses so that they avoid spending money to treat the father . Ultimately, a Muslim couple helps him to get cured from the doctors.
The artists who performed in the play, included Lekh Raj as Ram Nath, Pankaj Sharma as Sanju, Sahil Kumar as Sunil, Tanav Rajput as Romesh, Arun Bhagat as Anil, Darshan Singh as Krishan (PA), Kuldeep Singh as Karam Din , Anu Devi as Khalda, Karan Mengi as Jaswant (Jassi), Geeta Devi as Preet Kour, Nazim Ali as Doctor. The back stage music was given by Pankaj Sharma, set design by Lucky Dogra, Make up by Raja Aamir Khan, Costume by Rohit Kumar, Lights by Shadab Khan, Sound by Reshav and Inderjeet.
On the occasion, Sarver Mir Advocate appreciated the efforts made by the group for organizing such types of the play and also appreciated the performance of the artist.
