KATRA, Mar 16: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sangharsh Samiti today took out a protest march criticizing the elected MLAs of the district for not raising issue of Katra Ropeway Project in the ongoing Assembly session.

The Sangharsh Samiti members and other stakeholders assembled in large numbers at Katra Town and took out the protest march raising slogans against Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.
They alleged that the MLAs of district Reasi were scared of the Lt Governor and the Shrine Board in raising the issue of Katra ropeway in the Legislative Assembly.
“Two MLAs of MLAs have stormed the House over the issue of demolition of few shops in Nai Basti, but our MLAs of Reasi are silent on attempts to render hundreds of people jobless due to ropeway project,” they said.
The Sangharsh Samiti vowed to continue the struggle to logical conclusion and stressed that ropeway project would never be allowed to be commissioned by the local stakeholders.
