KATRA, Jan 29: Reiterating its stand against proposed ropeway project, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Sangharsh Samiti today warned that individuals supporting the Shrine Board move will face social boycott and public exposure.
Addressing a press conference here today, the Samiti members expressed concern over reports that some locals had met with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) officials and spoken in favour of the ropeway project. They warned that any support for the ropeway project would be met with strong resistance from the local community.
The Samiti announced plans to convene a crucial meeting at Shalimar Park soon to strategize their next course of action. They also announced to incorporate representatives of Sanatan Dharam Sabha and Chamber of Commerce in the Sangharsh Samiti.
Several prominent members of the Samiti, including Karan Singh, Balbir Rana, Rajesh Heera and Vimal Indu were present in the press conference.
