Sanskrit Camp organized at Jandrah

JAMMU, Dec 18: Supported by Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India, 3 -months Sanskrit Camp (basic knowledge) is being inaugurated here at village Jandrah.
The camp is part of the initiative of the MHRD for promotion of this old language to acquaint the youth and student with it. This three months Sanskrit camp was jointly inaugurated by Prof. Vishwa Murthi Shastri (President awardee) and Anil Sharma , Sarpanch of Panchayat Halqa Jandrah.
While elaborating about the details of the program, Prof Murthi informed that the camp is open for all local students and youth and after the completion they shall also be awarded certificate.
Anil thanked the principal and other faculty members of the Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanyala who are providing logistic and support for the event. While speaking on the inauguration session, he said Sanskrit is not only the oldest language of religious scripts of Indian faiths and tradition but it is also a scientific language.
In the course, the participating candidates would also be taught knowledge of ‘Shlokas’.
The prominent people who were present on the inauguration of the course include Ganga Dutt Sharma, Randhir Singh, Sukhdev Sharma, Ashutosh Sharma and Virinder Kumar.
