Sanskrit University initiates collaboration with IIM Jammu

JAMMU, Apr 24: The Central Sanskrit University Jammu has embarked on a transformative journey of collaboration and knowledge exchange as they paid a visit to the new campus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, at Jagti, in Nagrota area.
The visit was marked by a series of enriching activities aimed at fostering academic camaraderie and exploring avenues for mutual growth. Present on the occasion were Prof Sreedhar Mishra, Director, Central Sanskrit University, Jammu along with the faculty and staff members of the Institute.
Prof BS Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, emphasized IIM Jammu’s belief in collaborations for advancing knowledge and fostering innovation in academia. He highlighted the importance of synergy among diverse perspectives and collective expertise in charting new frontiers in education and making meaningful contributions to society.
The delegation explored various landmarks of the IIM Jammu campus, including the iconic clock tower and smart classrooms and state-of-the-art vibrant Nalanda Library.
Prof Jabir Ali, Dean Academics at IIM Jammu, provided a comprehensive overview of the institute’s journey. Highlighting Jammu’s unique position hosting IIT, IIM and AIIMS, he emphasized recent collaborations resulting in courses like MBA in Healthcare Administration and B.Tech + MBA.
Encouraging cross-collaboration, he emphasized Sanskrit graduates’ unique value in MBA programs. He mentioned that IIM Jammu is delighted to have engaged in insightful discussions and exchanges with their counterparts from Central Sanskrit University Jammu, and they look forward to further collaborations in the future.
In his presentation, Anup Bhattacharyra (AO Academics) delved into the intricacies of the pedagogical framework adopted by the institute, emphasizing its adaptability to contemporary challenges while staying true to foundational principles of academic excellence. He highlighted the innovative approaches to curriculum design, faculty development, and student engagement that set IIM Jammu apart in the educational landscape.
Sessions led by Bhattacharya and Dr Barnali Chaudhary provided valuable insights into the unique educational philosophy of IIM and instilled a profound sense of purpose and commitment to ethical excellence among participants.
