JAMMU, Nov 26: Students of Central Sanskrit University, Kot Bhalwal, staged a protest outside the campus, expressing their outrage and disappointment over the complete neglect of Sanskrit subject in the recent notification issued by the School Education Department.
The department has referred 575 posts to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), but not even a single post has been allocated for Sanskrit subject.
Students pointed out that this is not the first instance of neglect towards the Sanskrit, citing past instances of curriculum and teacher recruitment abandonment. They alleged a conspiracy to obliterate Sanskrit at the college level, as it has not been introduced as a course.
Scholars and students demanded that the Government must provide justice to Sanskrit students and scholars by offering posts in the subject as soon as possible. They warned the administration of a massive protest if action is not taken within four days.
